OUR STORY

 This story starts in the summer of 1982.

The music began in the basement of the Consalvo house, where a group of young musicians learned songs from their favourite bands. WIDOW MEMBERS from L-R:

Ken Fraser, Mario Consalvo, Laura Bishop, Ron Leake & MJ Hutton.

WIDOW hit the road in the Summer of 1982 playing bars, nightclubs and MANY high school dances throughout British Columbia.

In the Fall of 1983, the members of WIDOW went their separate ways - some continuing in the music business and some entering university.

The mid-2000s saw the core members of WIDOW reuniting to form LINCOLN HAZE.  Ken, Mario, Laura and well-known Kamloops drummer, Jamie McDonnell began gigging in Kamloops and the area.

The band went through a few member changes and then Laura left to focus on her main gig - teaching dance at a local studio.

In the following years, Ken & Mario connected with another Kamloops music biz alumni, singer Mark Petri and formed FRAPP CITY, with drummer Eddy Carusi.

Mark had returned to Kamloops after a successful stint with ESCAPE, a high-powered Vancouver-based band. FRAPP CITY would become well-known in the Kamloops area and continue to gig regularly.

 In 2021, Mark's ESCAPE band-mate, drummer Anton Danielsen moved to the Kamloops area from Alberta and the final line-up of FRAPP CITY was complete.

On the evening of May 29, 2023 we lost Mark Petri.

Kamloops woke up to the shocking news that Mark had passed suddenly and the music community mourned the loss of this exceptional singer and performer.

After Mark's passing, the remaining members of Frapp City knew he would have wanted them to continue.  Their first choice for a singer was Laura and she was ready to step in.
The band's first gig as the 'new' Lincoln Haze was July 22, 2023.
